Terms of use
This document explains terms and conditions for using the ReleMed® Service ("ReleMed® Service") provided by Intelligent Search Technologies LLC ("IST LLC"). Some of the conditions are required by National Library of Medicine (NLM®), from which the MEDLINE® database is leased.
By using the ReleMed® Service, you agree to the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Use") as changed and from time to time by updated postings at the ReleMed® Service site. IST LLC may from time to time change the services provided by the ReleMed® Service or the Terms of Use, without prior notice and without liability. Users should carefully review the Terms of Use before using the ReleMed® Service, and thereafter from time to time in order to know about any changes. Do not use the ReleMed® Service if you do not agree to the Terms of Use, or if you don't have status to legally be bound by this document.

1. Source of Information
The search results, links, and other information provided to you when you use the ReleMed® Service are derived from databases of information provided by the US National Library of Medicine (NLM®) and MEDLINE® under license to the IST LLC and are produced by automatic equipment, computers, and software. Search results, links, and other information are neither viewed nor screened by human beings or otherwise before users see them and some users might consider information to be offensive, objectionable, or otherwise inappropriate. IST LLC is not responsible for the content of or the links at any site included in any search results. IST LLC will endeavor to address allegations of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

5. Force Majeure
IST LLC shall never be responsible nor liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, or forces or causes beyond the IST LLC's reasonable control, including Internet or World Wide Web failures, computer hardware or software failures, telecommunication equipment or other equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labor disputes, riots, insurrections, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, civil disturbances, shortages of labor or materials, fires, floods, storms, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental actions or inactions, orders of domestic or foreign courts or tribunals, non-performance of third parties, or loss of or fluctuations in heat, light, or air conditioning, or for any other causes, acts, or omissions beyond the reasonable control of the IST LLC.
IST LLC shall never be responsible nor liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, or forces or causes beyond the IST LLC's reasonable control, including Internet or World Wide Web failures, computer hardware or software failures, telecommunication equipment or other equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labor disputes, riots, insurrections, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, civil disturbances, shortages of labor or materials, fires, floods, storms, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental actions or inactions, orders of domestic or foreign courts or tribunals, non-performance of third parties, or loss of or fluctuations in heat, light, or air conditioning, or for any other causes, acts, or omissions beyond the reasonable control of the IST LLC.
6. Commonwealth of Virginia
The Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without giving effect to conflict of laws provisions of any user's state or country or other jurisdiction of location or residence, as applied to transactions taking place wholly within the Commonwealth of Virginia between residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall be the sole and exclusive judicial forum and venue for and in connection with any litigation arising out of or relating to the ReleMed(SM) Service, IST LLC, and the Terms of Use, and users relinquish any right or entitlement to invoke federal diversity jurisdiction in connection with any such litigation. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Use to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms of Use will continue in full force and effect.

Also, ReleMed complies with NLM requirement for the following five fields to be searchable.
Consistent with the provisions of the license agreement between IST LLC and the National Library of Medicine, the ReleMed(SM) Service is provided in accordance with the following quality assurance features:
- The ReleMed(SM) Service adds new records to the database at least as frequently as quarterly. However, usually the ReleMed database is updated on a daily basis.
- The ReleMed(SM) Service corrects records at the time new records are added at least as frequently as quarterly.
- The ReleMed(SM) Service has an "announcement page" at URL www.relemed.com/announcements.htm, for significant errata and/or retractions identified by NLM.
- The ReleMed(SM) Service performs annual class maintenance on the records.
- The ReleMed(SM) Service announces that source for all records is NLM's MEDLINE.
- MEDLINE® and NLM® are registered trademark of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
- The ReleMed(SM) Service can be accessed by any web browser (including Internet Explorer, Netscape, FireFox, and Opera), on any computer connected to World-Wide-Web.
